Patagonia Kitchen is proud to use locally sourced, seasonal ingredients in our delicious emanadas, when at all possible.

Serving Suggestion:
In Argentina we eat empanadas with our hands, as a starter on their own or as a snack. Occaionally we eat a few of them as a main meal. We even take them on picnics and eat them cold. Try cutting them in half, and sqeeze over some lemon You are of course free to enjoy them as you wish!

Storage Instructions: Our empanadas can be stored for up to 48 hours in the fridge (less than 5ºC) or up to 3 months when frozen (-18ºC). Due to the use of fresh ingredients with no atrificial colours or preservatives, we do however recommend they are eaten within 24 hours of receipt, to ensure the best quality. The pastry may deteriorate if stored for an extended period of time.

Our home-made Empanadas are precooked and made on the same day we deliver/dispatch them so you will receive them fresh! 

Cooking Instructions:
Preheat your oven for 15 minutes at 230ºC.

Optional: For a golden crispy pastry, try brushing the top of the empanadas with a whisked egg.

Place the empanadas on baking tray, leaving space between each one.

Cook for 18-20 minutes from frozen or 15-18 minutes if cooking from the fridge (up to 72 after delivery). This may vary depending on your oven. 

Leave to stand for at least 1 minute before removing from the baking tray.  Enjoy your empanadas! 

Serving Suggestion: The Empanadas are very juicy, but you can try them with a little lemon juice or our delicious chimichurri!

The Patagonia Kitchen Story

Patagonia kitchen prides itself on cooking and creating high-quality authentic and tasty Argentina food! 

My name is Angeles. I am a typical Argentinean woman! I was brought up with the custom of inviting family and friends together at least once a week, where I would cook them traditional and authentic food. I cannot even describe the feeling that I have when they make their first bite.  The smile says it all! 

Coming from a traditional Argentinean family with Italian, French, Spanish, Greek, Turkish (and more) heritage, different flavours, rich aromas, and the love for “good food”, it is very characteristic at home and has aroused my interest in cooking since I was very young. I must confess, nothing could knock my favourite food: Empanadas! 

I use fresh local and high-quality ingredients from Wales to make the Empanadas, giving them in this way a special Welsh touch! I have chosen Patagonia kitchen name for this special and memorable bond that Wales has with “Patagonia” and after witnessing first-hand the strong influence they inherited from the first Welsh settlers over 150 years ago. The Welsh-speaking region of Patagonia, 'Y Wladfa' has a very special place in my heart. 

I am very lucky to have the best teacher I could ever ask for, my Mum, who after 50 years of perfecting herself, taught me her secret recipe with the exceptional tips for the best empanadas! My husband and children have enjoyed these for many years. 

I am now delighted to cook them for you!
